Cedar Care Homes did not want to produce a formal A4 brochure as it was important that every part of their literature convey that their care homes, are friendly places to live. We suggested producing a brochure that was actually more of a large leaflet. It is made from one sheet of A3 stock folded down to 297mm wide by 105mm. This offered a reasonably large area for content, while remaining economical to print and was less daunting to received than traditional care home literature.

Cedar Care Homes have a growing number of individual homes across Bath and Bristol so a set of separate homes leaflets were produced. These are double sided the same size as the main leaflet. These can be sent out as a set with the main brochure, or just the flyer for the chosen home. This ensures wastage is kept to a minimum and people are not overloaded with information. Additionally as the company has grown new homes leaflets could be added to the set without needing to reprint the main company brochure each time.

The photography that features in the literature, and company website, was supplied by one of Dispirito Designs photographers. We wanted strong positive images of the residents and staff, and so our photographers brief was to capture moments of joy.. Photographer Nanette's calm and friendly manner instantly put the residents at ease, and it wasn't long before they were giving her their life stories and offering to show her how they could still touch their toes! The resulting photographs have proved to be very successful in imparting a real sense of what life in one of the Cedar Care Homes would be like, and so have provided an accurate and effective marketing tool for Dispirito Design to use to help promote Cedar Care Homes.
