Attractive and informative websites needn't cost the earth. The Yule Organic website demonstrates this.
The website was designed, and built, as part of our 'Template' system. This enables us to re-use a lot of the coding files for new sites. The websites we produce this way can be adjusted to ensure they present the right look and feel for each company, just a lot of the behind the scenes work already exists. Maria Dispirito decided to develop this process as she is keen to devise ways of making good design affordable.
The layout, colours and content is unique to each client. We can even create new pages specifically for a new clients requirements and 'bolt the on' to the existing template. This way flxibility isn't compromised, but the standard pages can be provided very economically.

Theo van Hensbergen at Excellence in Practice set us two main challenges during the briefing for the re-design of their website. As the the site would have seven main sections, plus many additional sub sections and onward links, it was essential that the navigation system offered fast and direct access to the various pages. The second challenge was for the design to present the content in a considered manner without taking ages to load.
Firstly we set about designing a navigation system that enabled every page to be reached with just 1 click from the home page. We then went on to give each section its own distinct look. The home page rotates through four different graphics, so each time the home page is visited there is a different graphic displayed.
The result is a crisp, clean and fresh site that tempts your from page to page. You can't get lost, but you might want to linger. |

When WOW called us to say they wanted a website, and they wanted us to design
and build it, we were delighted. To ensure WOW got a web presence as soon as possible
the first thing we produced was a Home Page. Work is now underway on the main
site.

In 2005 the Spinnaker Sales website was upgraded to offer a fully datebase driven client section.
UPDATE: Spinnaker are now able to login online to add new client entries or edit the existing ones - including adding a logo, image and website link for each of the featured clients. This new functionaly ensures their website offers up to date information without them incuring the cost of requesting additional website revisons. |

Website to support and promote the Bath Literature Festival 2004.
This festival was to explore the idea of 'Identity' and 'Influence' on writers.
The design of this years festival website was to become a template for future
festivals produced by Bath Festivals Trust, so needed to offer strong recognisable
images, yet have key areas that could easily be changed from festival to festival.
It was also important that the site was data driven to enable visitors to search
its content by date, genre or speaker. |

Website to support and promote the Bath International Music Festival
2003.
This festival was to be a celebration of today's adventurous and richly diverse
musical life: classical, contemporary, early jazz, world and everything in between.
Bath Festivals Trust's brief to us was based around their desire to embrace
the experimental, the fantastical, the humorous, the sorrowful and the extreme.
We had already designed the festival brochure so the website needed to maintain
a use of colour and exciting images, without compromising the speed or functionality
of the site. |

Catalyst Arts wanted an attractive site template that they could continue to
update and develop themselves.
The solution we produced makes full use of the range of colours which appear
in their corporate identity. We colour coded each section as not only does this
maintain interest without slowing down load times, it also acts as a guide to
the different sections. Then there was the type - why use tiny type when larger
type would be easier to read? Catalyst Arts provided the first draft of copy
for the template and have continued to update the site ever since it went live. |

This website is a perfect example of an effective amalgamation of clear navigation with a strong dynamic brand. A site with simple content need not look dull. It is clear that the design and layout of a website can affect the perception of the quality of a company.
